Dallas Mavericks Fantasy Spin
Luka Doncic acknowledged that his left knee wasn’t quite 100% on Tuesday, but he elected to push through the pain and play. “Honestly, I wasn’t 100%, but I want to play,” Doncic said following Tuesday’s game. “I want to play always. Even if we’re not playing for that much right now, I want to play every game.” It’s admirable that Doncic got out there, and while he won’t admit it, the knee clearly affected him as he went just 1-of-9 from the field and wound up committing nine turnovers. It sounds like he’ll continue to push through the pain, though, so he should be good to go for Thursday’s game in Denver.
Denver Nuggets Fantasy Spin
Mike Malone confirmed after Tuesday’s game that Isaiah Thomas will be out of the rotation in Denver “for the time being.” “Not an easy conversation, but that’s my job,” said Malone. “It’s never about Isaiah or any individual. It’s about what’s best for our team. I made the decision to shorten the rotation, only play eight guys in the first quarter, and I’m going to continue to do that for the time being.” The removal of IT2 from the rotation will help Monte Morris and Jamal Murray stay in rhythm, and to Thomas’ credit, he handled the benching like a professional.
