Cards struggling to win in Pittsburgh
PITTSBURGH, PA (Lock Labs) – ESPN’s Sunday Night Baseball will be in Pittsburgh when Jhonny Peralta and the Cardinals visit the Pirates tonight at 8:05PM ET.
According to oddsmakers from online sports book GT Bets, the Pirates are -165 money line favorites versus the Cardinals, who are +155 money line underdogs for tonight’s game. With Tim Cooney set to face Francisco Liriano in the pitching matchup, the total sits at 7 runs.
The Cardinals are just 1-4 in their last five games versus the Pirates and 1-4 in their last five games in Pittsburgh following last night’s loss in extra innings. Twice St. Louis scored in extra innings but still managed to loss the game when Andrew McCutchen hit a walk-off two-run home run to send the Pirate faithful home happy. The Bucs are 4-1 in Liriano’s last five home starts and should have success again tonight.
