The UFC Fight Night 27 will take place from Bankers Life Fieldhouse in Indianapolis, Indiana with the main card bouts airing live on the new FOX Sports 1 at 8PM ET on Wednesday.
The main event of Wednesday’s card is a welterweight clash between Carlos Condit (28-7) and Martin Kampmann (20-6). According to oddsmakers at Bovada.lv, Condit is the favorite to win this bout, as he has odds of -270, while Kampmann has been given odds of +210 to win. These two met back in April of 2009 with Kampmann earning a split decision, but Condit has improved greatly since then and was even interim-welterweight champion. Both men are coming off losses to Johny Hendricks. Condit has the better striking and grappling but Kampmann has some power in his punching. The key will be for Condit to be mobile and mix up takedowns in order to keep Kampmann off guard.
The co-main event of Wednesday’s card is a lightweight clash between Donald Cerrone (20-5) and Rafael dos Anjos (19-6). According to oddsmakers, Cerrone is the favorite in the bout, as he has a money line of -165 to win, while dos Anjos has odds of +135 to prevail. Cerrone has won three of his last four and is an impressive kickboxer while dos Anjos has won his last four and his strength is submission grappling. This fight probably will be decided based on where it takes place. If it stays standing, Cerrone should win. If it is mostly on the ground, dos Anjos probably gets the nod.
