According to the latest oddsmakers, Golovkin is favored to win this fight, as he has odds of -155 to prevail, while Alvarez is listed with a money line of +125 to prevail. These two will be battling for the WBC World, WBA Super World, IBF World and International Boxing Organization World Middleweight titles, as well as The Ring and lineal middleweight championships. The fight will be held from the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas and air live on PPV.
WHY GGG CAN WIN: Golovkin has yet to lose, as he comes in with a 37-0 record with 33 knockouts. He is one of the most powerful punchers in boxing, pound-for-pound. He has 25 knockouts that have occurred in the six round or earlier. GGG has proven time and again to have plenty of pop in his punches and should be the stronger of the two fighters. He still has shown the ability to go the distance, beating Daniel Jacobs over 12 rounds in his last fight in March.
