According to oddsmakers at Bovada.lv, Alvarez is the clear favorite to win this bout, as he is listed with odds of -550 to win, while Khan has been given a money line of +375 to prevail. These two meet tonight from the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. The bout will air live on PPV.

Bet on Alvarez vs. Khan

Saul “Canelo” Alvarez (46-1-1, 32 KO) is the champion entering this bout against Amir “King” Khan (31-3-0, 19 KO). Khan is moving up in weight from middleweight to take this fight at 155 pounds. Scheduled for 12 rounds, Alvarez is making his first title defense since winning the belt from Miguel Cotto in November. He is on a four-fight win streak since a decision loss to Floyd Mayweather Jr. in September of 2013. Khan has won his last five fights since a TKO loss to Danny Garcia in July of 2012. Khan’s last fight was a decision win over Chris Algieri last May.

Khan is certainly an impressive fighter and a noteworthy challenge to Alvarez, but the move up in weight should play a factor here. Khan may not be able to go punch-for-punch with the bigger Alvarez. Canelo also has more big-fight experience, going toe-to-toe with Mayweather and Cotto in his recent career. Look for Khan to start strong, but for Canelo to slowly wear him down due to his power advantage.

2016 ALVAREZ VS. KHAN FREE PICK: CANELO ALVAREZ -550
