JDS favored vs. Miocic
PHOENIX, AZ (The Spread) – A former UFC Heavyweight Champion returns to action on Saturday night when Junior Dos Santos faces Stipe Miocic on FOX.

Dos Santos is 16-3 in his MMA career and a former UFC champion, but he hasn’t fought in over a year. His last bout was a TKO loss to the current heavyweight champ, Cain Velasquez. Miocic is 12-1 in his MMA career and he has won three straight coming into this bout. A win for him on Saturday night will likely make him the No. 1 contender for the title.
According to oddsmakers at Bovada.lv, Dos Santos is favored to win this bout, as he has odds of -365 to prevail, while Miocic comes in with a money line of +275. This bout will take place from the US Airways Center and air live on FOX as part of its 8PM ET card.
Dos Santos is arguably the top striker in the heavyweight division, and perhaps even all of MMA. He has tremendous boxing skills and power in both hands. Miocic is also a great striker, but may not have the speed to keep the fight standing with JDS. Miocic may be better served trying to take this fight to the ground if he hopes to win.
