Thurman is listed with a money line of +140 to win, while the over/under for rounds is listed at 11.5. Saturday’s bout will air live on PPV from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Paradise, Nevada. The main card will begin at 9PM ET.
Bet on Pacquiao vs. Thurman Odds
Manny Pacquiao
Pacquiao comes into the fight with a 61-7-2 record with 39 KO’s. He is the challenger in the bout. The 40-year-old boxer has won his last two bouts, scoring a decision win over Adrian Broner in January and a TKO win over Lucas Matthysse a year ago. Known for his power over his career, Pac-Man hasn’t shown that signature power over recent years and his speed wasn’t what it once was.
Keith Thurman
Thurman is the champion and unbeaten at 29-0 with 1 no contest. He has 22 wins by knockout. The 30-year-old is coming off a majority decision win over Josesito Lopez in January. His last three fights have gone the distance, but this is the biggest fight of his career. He has never faced an opponent of this name and on a stage quite like this.
Prediction
Thurman could get some stage fright, but this is his chance to really put his name firmly on the map in the boxing world and open up some big fights down the road. He is the hungry opponent and the younger opponent. He just needs to make sure he doesn’t fight Pacquiao’s game. The challenger is crafty and a veteran, but I don’t know that he has the same fire or gas tank that he had in his prime. I think Thurman provides more value as the underdog tonight, as he has everything to gain.
Boxing Prediction: Keith Thurman +140
