Bet on Mayweather vs. McGregor
There is a lot to consider with this bet. The first thing you consider is that McGregor is making his professional boxing debut. Can a person without a professional boxing fight possibly contend with the greatest boxer of all time for 12 rounds? McGregor has his striking experience in an octagon while competing for the UFC, but his striking there is much more kickboxing based and he has to consider the potential for wrestling at any moment. This fight is strictly about hands and speed. While McGregor has good speed for MMA boxing, this is a whole new level.
What will Mayweather look like on Saturday? He hasn’t competed in nearly two years and his fights over the final few years of his career were lackluster at best. Mayweather became a very defensive fighter and relied on his speed to counter-punch his opponents and out-point them. Will he be conservative in this fight because he knows McGregor can likely only win with a knockout? Will he try and prove a point to the boxing novice and knock him out quickly? A decision win may not be good enough for Mayweather in the eyes of other boxers and boxing fans.
