Bet on Golovkin vs. Alvarez

WHY CANELO CAN WIN: Saul Alvarez is 49-1-1 in his career and he didn’t get 49 wins by accident. He has a lot of experience, especially big-fight experience. Alvarez has been in the ring with the best. His lone loss was to Floyd Mayweather Jr. back in 2013, but that was just by majority decision. He has been able to win his last seven fights since then, including victories over the likes of Miguel Cotto, Amir Khan and Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. Alvarez has fought in some major bouts on PPV, so the experience of this weekend won’t overwhelm him. For GGG, this is his biggest fight to date.

WHY CANELO CAN LOSE: Thought Golovkin doesn’t have the same fighting experience, he still has a lot of success and is arguably the most powerful puncher Alvarez has faced in his career. A perfect 37-0, GGG has an impressive 33 knockout victories. Nobody has been able to figure out the GGG puzzle as of yet, so there isn’t a lot of good film for Alvarez to watch on how to properly attack him.
