According to oddsmakers at Bovada.lv, Manny Pacquiao is the favorite in this rematch, as he is getting odds of -205 to prevail, while Timothy Bradley has odds of +170 to win. These two meet up tonight for the vacant WBO International welterweight title from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. The event airs live on HBO pay-per-view.
Pacquiao (57-6-2, 38 KO’s) and Bradley (33-1-1, 1 NC, 13 KO’s) are meeting for the third time. The first meeting came back on June 9 of 2012 when Bradley picked up a controversial decision win. The rematch was on April 12 of 2014 with Pacquiao picking up the decision victory. Bradley hasn’t lost since then, going 2-0-1 in three bouts while Pacquiao hasn’t fought since losing a decision to Floyd Mayweather Jr. last May and recovering from a shoulder injury.
These two are pretty well evenly matched, but it is unclear as to what to expect from Pacquiao after a major injury and coming off the loss to Mayweather, which really hurt his legacy. Bradley fought in November and had a ninth-round TKO win, his first KO victory since 2011. Still, Pacquiao should have the power edge. The key will be for Bradley to be faster and use more volume.
