Fury vs. Wilder III Odds
After a resounding win over Deontay Wilder a month ago, will Tyson Fury step into the ring with his heavyweight rival once again? And if so, is he favored to win again?
These two have met twice already, once in 2018 and then again on Feb. 22. The first meeting was a draw while Fury scored a seventh-round TKO in the recent meeting. According to oddsmakers, Fury would be favored in a potential third matchup, as he is listed with -255 odds. Wilder is listed with a +205 money line to win.
The first encounter took place on December 1 of 2018 and saw a draw as all three judges had the bout scored quite differently. One had it 115-111 for Wilder, another had it 114-112 for Fury, while the other had it 113-113 even. Fury seemed to be out-pointing Wilder throughout the fight, but Wilder landed a huge knockdown in the 12th round that many expected to end the fight. However, Fury was able to make his way to his feet and see the end of the bout.
The second meeting between these two took place on Feb. 22 of this year and saw Fury pretty much dominate from start to finish. Fury scored knock downs of Wilder in the third round and fifth round. Eventually the bout was stopped by Wilder’s corner midway throughout the seventh round. Judges had the scorecards at 59-52, 59-52 and 58-53 for Fury at the time of the knockout.
Fury has really seemed to have the answer for Wilder like nobody else. Wilder was unbeaten for a reason, but Fury’s length and movement has given Wilder a lot of problems. Wilder landed just 24 percent of his punches in the second meeting and only 17 percent in the first. Fury had 26 percent land in the first meeting and 34 percent land in the victory. Wilder is definitely going to have to change up his game plan if he hopes to win a third encounter with Fury.
