The UFC Light Heavyweight Champion ran through Jackson, picking him apart for three rounds before getting him to the ground and securing a rear-naked choke in the fourth round to give Jackson his second-ever loss by submission and first since 2001.
According to oddsmakers, Jones had a hefty money line of -700 to win this fight, so a $700 wager on the champion will pay out an additional $100.
In the co-main event, Matt Hughes was unable to pull off the upset against Josh Koscheck. Hughes showed some good striking in the early going, but got caught by a big hook late in the first round and Koscheck followed up with a flurry before landing some big punches from the ground while Hughes was on his knees. The final blows knocked Hughes out cold with just a second remaining in the round. Koscheck had odds of -600 to win the fight coming into the bout.
