UFC 192 Free Pick & Prediction: Daniel Cormier vs. Alexander Gustafsson

UFC 192 Free Pick & Prediction: Daniel Cormier vs. Alexander Gustafsson UFC 192 Free Pick & Prediction: Daniel Cormier vs. Alexander Gustafsson

Cormier vs. Gustafsson Free Pick

Daniel Cormier and Alexander Gustafsson are set to meet for the UFC Light Heavyweight Championship tonight. Which one will come out the winner of UFC 192?

View Real-Time Sports Betting Odds

Cormier (16-1) is looking to defend his championship for the first time since winning it in May over Anthony Johnson, the same man who beat Gustafsson (16-3) in his last fight in January. The challenger is still a worthy opponent, as he pushed former champ Jon Jones to the limit prior to Jones having to vacate his championship. Still, questions remain about Gustafsson’s ability to win this fight.

According to the latest oddsmakers, Cormier is the favorite to retain his title, as he is getting odds of -325 to win this bout, while Gustafsson is getting a money line of +250 to win. This fight is the main event of UFC 192 and it takes place tonight from the Toyota Center in Houston, Texas. The event airs live on PPV at 10PM ET.

Gustafsson has the skills to win this fight, as his striking is superior to Cormier. He has great footwork and a lot of length on the champion, so that could really pose a problem. Cormier has a tremendous edge in the grappling battle and probably in overall strength. If Cormier gets his hands on Gustafsson, the challenger is probably getting sent to the mat. Dealing with the scrambles will also probably tire out Gustafsson, while Cormier is known for his cardio. If Cormier survives the big strikes, which I think he will, he should be able to control Gustafsson in the later rounds and pick up the win.

UFC 192 FREE PICK: Daniel Cormier -325
