UFC 194 Free Pick & Prediction: Luke Rockhold vs. Chris Weidman

Rockhold vs. Weidman Pick

Can Chris Weidman defend his UFC Middleweight Championship at UFC 194 tonight, or will Luke Rockhold emerge as the new champion?

View Real-Time Sports Betting Odds

According to the oddsmakers at RealBets, Weidman is currently a slight favorite for the fight, as he is getting odds of -140 to win, while Rockhold has a money line of +110 to prevail. These two meet in the co-main event of UFC 194 tonight at 10PM ET from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.

Weidman (13-0) is the unbeaten champion looking to defend his championship for the fourth time. He is coming off a first-round TKO win over Vitor Belfort back in May. Rockhold (14-2) is a former Strikeforce 185-pound champion that has won his last four fights, all by stoppage. He is coming off a second-round choke of Lyoto Machida back in April.

Both men come into this fight with solid punching power, but Rockhold is the more diverse striker. He also has a slight reach advantage over the champion, which should come into play with Rockhold’s footwork. Weidman has a strong wrestling background, but he hasn’t had to use it much in the UFC. He may need it tonight. If he can get the fight to the ground, it gives him much more of an advantage. However, I see Weidman struggling to do this. Rockhold has great length and very powerful kicks that will make it tough for Weidman to get into position for takedowns. I think Rockhold’s ability to use his feet and his better movement will allow him to score the big strike and Weidman and become the new champion.

UFC 194 FREE PICK: LUKE ROCKHOLD +110
