Bet on UFC 234 Odds

24201 Kelvin Gastelum vs. 24202 Robert Whittaker

The main event of tonight’s card is the middleweight title fight between the champion Whittaker (20-4) and Gastelum (15-3) According to the latest oddsmakers at BetNow.eu, Whittaker is favored to retain his championship tonight, as he is getting odds of -240 to win. Gastelum is listed with a money line of +205 to win. Whittaker is on a 9-fight win streak that has lasted since 2014. He is coming off back-to-back decision wins over Yoel Romero and now will be fighting in his home country tonight. Gastelum is coming off a win over Ronaldo Souza last May, but has only won his last two bouts. Gastelum is a talented fighter with some good power in his hands, but Whittaker looks to be the more well-rounded fighter and the better conditioned fighter. Gastelum has struggled with his weight in the past and lost the only 5-round fight of his career. I think Whittaker’s conditioning and championship experience will carry him to the win over Gastelum, who will start fast, but fatigue down the stretch. UFC 234 Prediction: Robert Whittaker -240

24205 Anderson Silva vs. 24206 Israel Adesanya

The co-main event tonight is a middleweight bout as well between one of the all-time greats in Silva (34-8) and one of the young stars in Adesanya (15-0). Oddsmakers are listing Adesanya as the clear favorite, giving him odds of -465 to win. Silva is listed with a money line of +365 to prevail. Silva is the greatest middleweight champ in UFC history, but is just 1-4 in his last six fights, which includes 1 no contest. His speed and power have wilted away over the years and he hasn’t been in the octagon since February of 2017. Adesanya is coming off a first-round KO of Derek Brunson in November. Brunson was Silva’s last opponent, and he went three full rounds with him. Adesanya is the evolution of an Anderson Silva. He is faster, quicker, more accurate and more powerful. The young cub should outclass the old lion tonight. UFC 234 Prediction: Israel Adesanya -465
