UFC 247 Predictions 2/8/20, Who will win Jones vs. Reyes?

UFC 247 Predictions 2/8/20, Who will win Jones vs. Reyes? UFC 247 Predictions 2/8/20, Who will win Jones vs. Reyes?

UFC 247 Predictions

The UFC’s top champion is back in action tonight when the UFC light heavyweight championship is up for grabs in the main event of UFC 247.

UFC 247 will be held from the Toyota Center in Houston, Texas. The main card for the event will begin at 10PM ET and air live on PPV as part of ESPN+.

Bet on UFC 247 Odds

24301 Dominick Reyes vs. 24302 Jon Jones

The main event for tonight’s card is for the UFC Light Heavyweight Championship when Jones (25-1) defends his title against Reyes (12-0). According to oddsmakers, Jones is the clear favorite to retain, as he is listed with odds of -470 to win. Reyes is listed with a money line of +370 to prevail. Both men are essentially unbeaten. Jones’ lone loss was a DQ back in 2009. Jones is coming off a split decision win over Thiago Santos in July and a decision win over Anthony Smith last March. Reyes is 12-0 with a KO win over Chris Weidman in 103 seconds last October. Jones is arguably the best fighter in UFC history, but one has to wonder when his time in the sun will end. Is he still motivated to be the best? MMA careers seem to come to a sudden halt at some point and Reyes definitely has the potential to win this fight. However, Jones presents a set of skills that nobody can mimic or truly prepare for. I think Reyes hasn’t really been tested in the deep waters like Jones, and that is what will get the champ through this latest challenge. UFC 247 Prediction: Jon Jones -470

24305 Katlyn Chookagian vs. 24306 Valentine Shevchenko

The co-main event is for the UFC Women’s Flyweight Championship, with the champion Shevchenko (18-3) defending her belt against Chookagian (13-2). Oddsmakers have Shevchenko as the overwhelming favorite. She is listed with odds of -1200 to win. Chookagian is listed with a money line of +800 to win. Shevchenko is a monster and she has looked impressive in recent title defenses, but she has went 25 minutes in two of her last four bouts. Chookagian doesn’t have a lot of impressive results, but she is still 13-2 and has been able to win a lot of close decisions. Given the odds, Shevchenko really has no value at the betting window unless you are doing a parlay. A lot can happen in a fight. A lucky bunch, an injury, a catch submission. Chookagian has the ability to win, so I think she is the value play. UFC 247 Prediction: Katlyn Chookagian +800
