UFC Fight Night Free Picks & Predictions: T.J. Dillashaw vs. Dominick Cruz

Three reasons Dominick Cruz can beat T.J. Dillashaw at UFC Fight Night Three reasons Dominick Cruz can beat T.J. Dillashaw at UFC Fight Night

Dillashaw vs. Cruz Pick

The most anticipated UFC Bantamweight Championship fight in UFC history takes place tonight. Will it be T.J. Dillashaw or Dominick Cruz coming out on top?

View Real-Time Sports Betting Odds

According to the oddsmakers at BetDSI, Dillashaw is currently a -135 favorite to retain his championship while Cruz has been given a money line of +105 to win. These two meet in the TD Garden in Boston, MA. The fight is the main event of tonight’s UFC Fight Night, which airs on FS1 at 10PM ET.

This is a tough fight to call as each man has certain strengths coming into this fight. The biggest concern on paper is that Cruz hasn’t fought since September 27, 2014. He is coming off a knee injury that could severely hamper his abilities. However, that last fight, he was also coming off major injuries that sidelined him for three years and he picked up a KO in just over a minute, looking better than ever.

Dillashaw hasn’t given many reasons to doubt him, but he has also fought the same man twice in three fights. He could just have a great matchup advantage on Renan Barao that others didn’t. He now faces a man with a style similar to his, but only Cruz has used that style for much longer. We don’t know how Cruz will handle adversity in this fight, but we know Cruz has battled it for years just getting to the octagon. Cruz has a real chip on his shoulder for this fight, never having lost the title in the first place. I expect him to come out looking great and frustrating Dillashaw to earn his championship back.

UFC FIGHT NIGHT FREE PICK: DOMINICK CRUZ +105
