Rousey Future Fight Odds

LAS VEGAS, NV (TheSpread) – Ronda Rousey is the hottest thing in MMA and maybe all of sports. Here is a look at the odds for a few fights that could be on the horizon for the unbeaten champion.

View Current UFC Odds

Rousey (12-0) is coming off a 34-second KO victory over Bethe Correia last Saturday in the main event of UFC 190. Rousey has now defended her title six times in the UFC and her last three victories have been a combined 64 seconds. She has taken the sports world by storm with her dominant performances and has now emerged as a cultural icon.

With Rousey being do dominant, there are only two opponents that appear to currently be on the horizon for her to face. Currently, the UFC has named Miesha Tate as the top contender. Tate (17-5) has won four straight fights to earn a third shot at Rousey. These two met in 2012 with Rousey getting a first-round submission win. They met again in 2013 with Rousey winning by submission again, this time in the third round. Tate is the only fighter to take Rousey past the first round. According to oddsmakers at Bovada.lv, Rousey is currently listed as a -1200 favorite in a third bout against Tate, while Tate has been given odds of +775 to win.

Another fight that has a lot of buzz for Rousey is a battle with Cristiane “Cyborg” Justino, a woman who dominated MMA prior to Rousey’s emergence. Cyborg is 14-1-1 in her career but hasn’t been beaten since her debut in 2005. She has won her last two fights in under a minute, both by KO. She currently fights at 145 pounds, while Rousey fights at 135 pounds. Rousey says she will only fight Cyborg at 135 pounds, but the allure of a monster pay day could set this fight up at 145 pounds if Cyborg is unable to reach 135. Oddsmakers have set hypothetical odds and if the fight was at 135 pounds, Rousey is a -450 favorite to Cyborg’s +360 odds. If the fight was to be at 140 pounds, Rousey is just a -325 favorite while Cyborg is listed at +265.
