Dillashaw vs. Barao Free Pick

CHICAGO, IL (The Spread) – T.J. Dillashaw is set to defend his UFC Bantamweight Championship tonight against former champ, Renan Barao, in the main event of UFC on FOX. Who will prevail?

View Real-Time Sports Betting Odds

Dillashaw (11-2) is making his second title defense while Barao (33-2) is looking to win back the title he lost to Dillashaw in May of 2014 in a major upset at the time. This rematch was set to take place in August of last year, but a weight-cutting issue with Barao forced the rematch to be postponed. The loss Dillashaw handed Barao was the first since Barao’s debut in 2005, ending a 32-fight win streak.

The latest odds according to oddsmakers at GTBets have Dillashaw as a -245 favorite to retain his belt, while Barao has been given odds of +200 to win. This fight will be the main event of UFC on FOX, which takes place from the United Center on Saturday at 8PM ET and it will air live on FOX.

Dillashaw looked amazing when he fought Barao the first time, but he was in a position where he had nothing to lose and everything to gain. Barao was probably looking past Dillashaw, who hadn’t earned a title fight at the time. Dillashaw has only fought once since then, beating another fighter that had no business getting a title shot at the time. Look for Barao to be on his game and motivated to prove that loss was a fluke. Dillashaw will be game, but he will be fighting a veteran fighter that has been waiting for this opportunity for more than a year. I like Barao to regain the title, especially with the odds he is being given.

UFC on FOX FREE PICK: Renan Barao +200
