Dos Anjos (24-7) is defending his title for the first time since winning it over Anthony Pettis last March. He is on a four-fight win streak, winning all four fights in dominant fashion. Cerrone (28-6) is on an eight-fight win streak since losing to Dos Anjos by decision back on Aug. 28, 2013. This will be his fourth fight of 2015.
According to oddsmakers at RealBets, Dos Anjos is favored to retain his title, as he is getting odds of -210 to win this fight, while Cerrone is getting a money line of +170 to prevail. These two meet on Saturday night from the Amway Center in Orlando, FL. They are the main event of a card that airs live on FOX at 8PM ET.
Dos Anjos has been a monster over the last few years. He has tremendous jiu-jitsu skills while developing a strong striking and wrestling game as well. RDA has shown big power in his hands, though he is not the most technical striker. Cerrone is a muay thai fighter that has powerful kicks and technically strong punches. He may be quicker to the punch than RDA and be able to knock him out in more of a variety of ways, but his takedown defense is somewhat suspect, which could lead to issues later in the fight.
