Amanda Lemos vs. Jessica Andrade

UFC Women’s Strawweight Main Event Bout

UFC in Vegas 52 takes place on Saturday, April 23rd, live from the UFC Apex in Las Vegas on Fight Pass and ESPN+.

Jessica Andrade

Professional MMA Record: 22-9-1

Knockout Record: 9-4

Submission Record: 7-2

SIG Strikes Landed Per Minute: 6.24

SIG Strike Accuracy: 57.46%

Takedown Average: 2.90

Takedown Accuracy: 55.88%

Submission Average: 0.38

Former UFC women’s strawweight champion Jessica Andrade has fought the who’s-who of elite-level talent. Outside of slamming Rose Namajunas into the nether realm to capture championship gold, she’s competed in three weight classes and fought a killer’s row of MMA fighters, including Valentina Shevchenko, Joanna Jedrzejczyk and Weili Zhang.

Andrade has the most fights in UFC women’s history (20), she possesses the most knockout wins in UFC women’s strawweight history, and she boasts eight Fight of the Night bonuses. She’s a legend of the sport, and aged 30, it could be argued that she’s yet to reach the prime of her professional career.

Amanda Lemos

Professional MMA Record: 11-1-0

Knockout Record: 7-1

Submission Record: 2-0

SIG Strikes Landed Per Minute: 5.35

SIG Strike Accuracy: 61.78%

Takedown Average: 1.31

Takedown Accuracy: 57.14%

Submission Average: 0.33

Amanda Lemos steps into the octagon for the most significant bout in her professional MMA career this weekend. The Brazilian native fought to a 5-fight win streak to earn the main event position versus a former champion, and with an 11-1 pro record, there’s no denying the high level of attributes she enters the cage with.

Victory this Saturday evening would propel Lemos into the top-5 rankings. Furthermore, her name would be flung into title contention without any questions asked – should she overcome the ever-dangerous Jessica Andrade.

Lemos vs. Andrade Fight Analysis and UFC in Vegas 52 Betting Odds

Sportsbooks across the board support the UFC veteran in Andrade with a -194 set of odds. And despite the determination and success that Lemos has presented in her recent win streak, it’s hard to disagree with the bookmaker’s odds.

Andrade is so powerful in every facet of the game; whether it be grappling or striking, she’s consistently posing a severe threat to the opposition. And for this reason, we can’t neglect the former champion’s probability of defeating the lesser-experienced Amanda Lemos.

UFC Vegas 52 Co-Main Event Best Bet

Clay Guida vs. Claudio Puelles

UFC Lightweight Bout

UFC in Vegas 51 takes place on Saturday, April 23rd, live from the UFC Apex in Las Vegas on Fight Pass and ESPN+.

Clay Guida

Professional MMA Record: 37-21-0

Knockout Record: 6-2

Submission Record: 15-8

SIG Strikes Landed Per Minute: 2.53

SIG Strike Accuracy: 48.42%

Takedown Average: 3.26

Takedown Accuracy: 38.00%

Submission Average: 0.69

Fifty-eight professional MMA bouts sit on the record of Clay Guida; he’s been competing at the highest level of the sport inside a UFC since 2006, and to credit him by using the word ‘experienced’ would seem like a complete understatement.

Clay, “The Carpenter” Guida, has already etched his name into the MMA book of legends. Despite never reaching title contention, he’s competed in some of the most memorable UFC bouts in the company’s history.

Claudio Puelles

Professional MMA Record: 12-2-0

Knockout Record: 2-1

Submission Record: 6-0

SIG Strikes Landed Per Minute: 2.07

SIG Strike Accuracy: 66.28%

Takedown Average: 2.87

Takedown Accuracy: 38.71%

Submission Average: 0.96

Riding a 4-fight win streak following his debut UFC knockout loss to Martin Bravo, renowned jiu-jitsu expert Claudio Puelles will be hoping his clash with the 40-year-old Clay Guida can be a passing of the torch to a younger generation of fighters.

Though extremely dangerous on the ground, Puelles will need to unleash his A-game against the veteran in Guida this weekend because, aged just 25-years-old, he hasn’t competed in a 30% of the contests that his opponent has and most often, octagon experience is imperative.

Guida vs. Puelles Fight Analysis and UFC in Vegas 52 Betting Odds

The available UFC odds are almost split down the middle; this weekend’s co-main event is basically a pick-em at the books.

Ignoring Guida’s experience, heart, and warrior spirit versus a young one-dimensional fighter isn’t easy. Puelles will need to overcome Guida’s gritty wrestling skillset to have his way, and I just can’t envision him accomplishing this.
