Wrestlemania 36 Odds 3/19/20, WWE to hold two-day event in April

Wrestlemania 36 Odds

The biggest event in sports entertainment was scheduled to take place in Tampa on April 5, but due to the coronavirus, Wrestlemania is going under a number of changes.

Originally planned to take place from Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, the WWE announced this week that Wrestlemania will now be a two-day event on April 4 and 5 from various locations with limited people at each site.

Bet Sports Odds

Brock Lesnar vs. Drew McIntyre

The main event of Wrestlemania is for the WWE Championship and has Brock Lesnar taking on Drew McIntyre. Oddsmakers list McIntyre as the clear favorite to win, as he is listed with -400 odds to win. Lesnar has a money line of +250 to retain his title. Lesnar always finds himself in the main event picture this time of year, but he is not a full-time wrestler, so it tends to lead to him losing at this event. He does have a pair of marquee wins over The Undertaker and Roman Reigns at Wrestlemania, but the build for this match has been the rise of Drew McIntyre, who won the Royal Rumble. He’s had a long journey working toward his first championship and that seems to be the story being told here.

Roman Reigns vs. Goldberg

Another featured match is for the WWE Universal Championship and has Goldberg defending his title against Roman Reigns. Reigns is the clear favorite according to oddsmakers, as he is listed with -1000 odds to win. Goldberg is listed with a money line of +550 to retain his championship. Goldberg is a Hall of Famer that can’t go very long in the ring and probably doesn’t have many matches in his future. Reigns is kind of the active face of the WWE right now and his story is returning from leukemia nearly a year ago. This seems like a slam dunk that he will take the title from the veteran.

Becky Lynch vs. Shayna Baszler

The match with the closest odds right now has Shayna Baszler going after the RAW Women’s Championship and taking on Becky Lynch. Oddsmakers have Baszler as the favorite to win the strap, giving her odds of -165 to win. Lynch is listed with a money line of +125 to win. Lynch has been the champion for a year since winning the belt in the main event of Wrestlemania 35. Being a champion for that long isn’t very common these days, but they could still be building toward a big 1-on-1 match between Lynch and Ronda Rousey for a year from now. Baszler has been groomed for a top spot for a while, but she’s still new to the main roster and the company may not feel she’s ready to replace Lynch as the champ in the women’s division.
