2010 NASCAR Carfax 400 Picks & Predictions
The NASCAR Sprint Cup Series returns to Michigan International Speedway on Sunday for the Carfax 400 and if this race is anything like the previous event at this track, it doesn't figure to be very exciting.
Michigan International Speedway is known for giving us some pretty boring races with long green runs, very little passing and wins usually coming down to fuel mileage, which was certainly the case back in June when the leader ran out of gas on the last lap. Don't be surprised to see much of the same this week, but with a little less gambling since we are just five races away from the start of the chase. None of the contenders can afford to run out of gas and risk losing too many points.
Denny Hamlin 7/1
Denny Hamlin has fallen off the last few weeks after putting together a nice stretch of races, but we think he can get back on track this week. Hamlin won here back in June during that stretch, which followed two very good races here last year. These types of tracks have always been a strong suit for Joe Gibbs Racing and we look for another good effort this Sunday from Hamlin.
Greg Biffle 15/1
Greg Biffle has had lots of success on tracks like Michigan International Speedway and might be the hottest driver the last few weeks. In 15 starts here, Biffle has two wins and nine top-10s. With Biffle still in the hunt to make the chase, look for him to make another strong run this week.

Carl Edwards 15/1
In 12 starts at Michigan, Edwards has finished outside of the top 10 only twice, with two wins and an average finish of 6.6. Edwards has been mired in a slump for a virtually two years, but this could be his best track and his best chance to break his slump the rest of the year.
What a frustrating year this has been. 😡
