2010 NASCAR Lenox Industrial Tools 301 Picks & Predictions
This week’s NASCAR race takes us to New Hampshire International Speedway for the Lenox Industrial Tools 301 on Sunday.
Bet the Lenox Industrial Tools 301
When you think of a flat track, New Hampshire International Speedway fits the bill perfectly with only a maximum of seven degrees of banking, as little as two degrees in the turns, and just one degree in the straightaway. Many good drivers struggle on this type of track while others excel, which makes it a bit easier to narrow down the list of contenders.
Denny Hamlin 9/2
Hamlin has always thrived on flat tracks, with wins at Martinsville and Pocono this year, and has been on a roll ever since they switched back to a spoiler. In six starts here, Hamlin has one win and five top-10s, as well as an average finish of 8.3. With the way he has run lately, we think Hamlin should continue his hot streak and collect another flat track win.
Kurt Busch 12/1
Busch is the other driver who seems two have figured out the new spoiler, while other teams have struggled with it. In his last six starts in the COT car here, Busch has one win, two top-5s and four top-10s for an average finish of 10.3, which puts him right behind race favorite Denny Hamlin. While Busch will have his hands full trying to beat Hamlin and Jimmie Johnson, we think 12/1 offers great value on a accomplished driver at New Hampshire.
Live Longshots
Joey Logano 25/1
Logano has raced at New Hampshire many times while coming up through the ranks and won his first ever race here last year. (It should be noted that the victory came due to the race being shortened by rain and a big gamble by his crew chief.) While most drivers go through what is known as the sophomore slump in NASCAR, Joey Logano has shown this year that he belongs in this series. With the way all of the cars have looked this year from Joe Gibbs Racing, he might just show us last year’s win here wasn't a fluke.
God I hate the 48 😛
