2010 NASCAR Odds – Bucyrus 200 – Fellows Opens as Favorite
The Nationwide Series is in Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin this Saturday for the 2010 Bucyrus 200, where Ron Fellows is the opening favorite.
This will be the fourth time in the last six years that the Nationwide Series will debut at a new track. It’s also the first of three road courses on the Nationwide schedule this year, which is a first since 2007.
Oddsmakers from online sports book SPORTSBETTING.com have made Fellows a 7/4 favorite over Jacques Villeneuve (7/2) and Carl Edwards (5/1). Brad Keselowski is 6/1 to win, as his Colin Braun.
Fellows, a Canadian former SCCA Trans-AM Series champion, has four wins in 15 Nationwide road course starts, although three of them have come at Watkins Glen. It should be noted, however, that Fellows is averaging only 24.4 in 17 Cup starts on road courses.
Villeneuve holds an impressive record at the Road America course, where he won the CART IndyCar Series events here in both 1994 and 1995. Seeing as how he has extensive knowledge of the track, he’ll certainly be a driver to watch out for this Saturday.
After finishing a disappointing 13th in the season opener at Daytona, Keselowski has three Nationwide wins and 13 consecutive top-10 finishes, including a third-place run last weekend at Kentucky.
