2010 NASCAR Sprint All-Star Race Picks & Predictions
This week we get to watch NASCAR put on its annual All-Star Race at Lowe’s Motor Speedway, which is always a great show since this is a non points race. Drivers will do what ever it takes to win.
Instead of racing for points this week, drivers will be racing for cold hard cash as a million dollars are up for grabs. With that much money on the line, we expect to see plenty of fireworks as drivers race to the finish.
The first segment of the race will be 50 laps, followed by two, 20-lap segments and then a final 10-lap dash to finish. Seventeen drivers are currently eligible and two others will race their way in from the Sprint Showdown. Fans will have a chance to vote for their favorite driver to fill the third and final spot.
We think the key to this race is finding a driver who can be patient when needed and also someone who isn't afraid to put a bumper on a competitor to get them out of the way. Since this is a non-points race, expect to see some things you generally don’t see in a points race, seeing as how drivers aren't concerned about a payback down the road.
