2011 NASCAR Odds – AAA Texas 500 – Four Drivers Favored To Win

FORT WORTH, TX (TheSpread) – The NASCAR Sprint Cup Series is down to its final three races of the year and next up is the AAA Texas 500 from Texas Motor Speedway.

According to oddsmakers, four drivers are favored to win the race as all have 7/1 odds to win. Those drivers are Jimmie Johnson, Matt Kenseth, Carl Edwards, and Tony Stewart.
Edwards is leading the point standings by 8 points over Stewart. Edwards has one win, 16 top 5’s, and 23 top 10’s this year. His average finish on the season is 10.0 and his driver rating is 98.5. At Texas, Edwards has three wins and four top 5’s in 13 races. His average finish at the track is 16.5 while his driver rating is 98.3.
Stewart is second in the point standings. Stewart has three wins this year, all of which came in the Chase. Stewart’s average finish this season is 13.0 and his driver rating is 92.4. At Texas, Stewart has just one win and an average finish of 13.2. His driver rating there is 102.9, which is second-best in the series.
Kenseth is currently fifth in the point standings, 36 points out of first place. Kenseth has three wins and 10 top 5’s this season. His average finish on the year is 12.0 while his driver rating is 98.0. At Texas, Kenseth owns two wins and nine top 5’s. His average finish is 9.0 and his driver rating is 105.2, which is tops for any driver in the series.
Johnson is sitting sixth in the standings, 43 points behind Edwards. Johnson has two wins and 14 top 5’s this season as his average finish is 11.2 and his driver rating is 100.6. At Texas, Johnson has one win and seven top 5’s in 16 races. His average finish there is 9.9 and his driver rating is 98.8, which ranks fourth in the series.

I played Kenseth, Hamlin and Biffle pre qualifying and think Kurt Busch is worth a look after practice.
What a snooze fest that race turned out to be.
Gonna be like that the rest of the year probably. Only Stewart and Edwards have a legit shot at the title at this point and everyone else is gonna be scared to death to do anything that would upset the standings. Especially after what Busch did this weekend everyone is gonna give plenty of room at Phoenix and Miami.
I'm back on top of the fantasy standings though. Yay me!
This week could shake things up a bit with the new layout since I have a feeling you might see a lot of wrecks which could catch up one or both of the top two.
