2011 NASCAR Odds – AdvoCare 500 – Three Drivers Favored

HAMPTON, GA (TheSpread) – The NASCAR Sprint Cup Series will be under the lights on Sunday night as drivers compete in the AdvoCare 500 this holiday weekend.
According to oddsmakers, Kyle Busch, Carl Edwards, and Jimmie Johnson are the favorites to win the race, as each has 8/1 odds to win. Jeff Gordon also has short odds, with 9/1 odds to win.
Busch is currently tied for the points lead with Johnson. He has four wins and 13 top 5’s on the year, which are most of any driver. Busch has five wins at Atlanta Motor Speedway along with seven top 5’s. His average finish is 8.7 while his driver rating is 108.1, which is best of any driver at this track.
Johnson has one win and 10 top 5’s on the year while also landing 16 top 10’s, which is most of any driver in the series. Johnson has won one time at Atlanta. His average finish is 15.4 while his driver rating at the track is 91.1, which ranks ninth amongst current drivers.
Edwards is fourth in the point standings, 35 points out of first. He has one win and 10 top 5’s on the year. Edwards has two wins at Atlanta and an average finish of 12.5. His driver rating is 91.7, which ranks eighth in the series.
Gordon is sixth in the point standings. He is 48 points out of first. He has two wins and eight top 10’s on the year. Gordon has five wins at Atlanta in his career and his average finish is 11.7. His driver rating at the track is 97.6, which ranks third in the series.
