2011 NASCAR Odds: Budweiser Shootout: Harvick Favored By Oddsmakers

DAYTONA, FL (TheSpread) – The 2011 NASCAR Season kicks off this Saturday with its annual exhibition race, the Budweiser Shootout, from Daytona International Speedway.
The Budweiser Shootout is a 75-lap race that is broken up into two segments. The first segment is 25 laps, which is followed by a 10-minute intermission. The race then concludes with a 50-lap segment where a reduced fuel cell forces each driver to at least pit once for gas. The first to finish the 75 laps is the winner.
Previous Daytona 500 winners, Bud Shootout winners, Sprint Cup champions, 2010 Chase for the Championship Drivers, and the 2010 Rookie of the Year are eligible along with pole sitters from last season.
The two-time defending champion, Kevin Harvick, is favored to win again this year according to oddsmakers at online sportsbook Sportsbook.com. Harvick has 15/2 odds to win. Other short odds to win are Kyle Busch and Tony Stewart, who each have 8/1 odds.
Harvick won the last two years and has finished in the top five two other times as well. Busch has not won the event, but finished in the top 10 the last two years. Stewart has won this even three times and finished in the top 10 in 10 of his 11 appearances in this race.
