2011 NASCAR Odds – Kobalt Tools 400 – Johnson Favored By Oddsmakers

LAS VEGAS, NV (TheSpread) – The gambling capital will host the next 2011 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series as the drivers compete in the Kobalt Tools 400.
Jimmie Johnson enters Sunday’s race as the favorite according to oddsmakers at the online sports book SBGGLOBAL.com. Johnson has 9/2 odds to win while other short odds are Kyle Busch (6/1), Jeff Gordon (7/1), and Carl Edwards (8/1).
Johnson has been masterful at this event, winning four times since 2005, including last year’s race. For his career at Vega he has an average finish of 10.0 and a driver rating of 116.4, which ranks second in the series.
Busch won this event in 2009 and he is the current points leader for the series. Busch has an average finish of 11.7 at Vegas with a driver rating of 108, which is third overall.
Gordon just ended a 66-race winless streak last Sunday and he has one win here, in 2001. Gordon has an average finish of 13.3 at Vegas, but has the top driver rating in the series at 117.0.
Edwards is also a former winner of this event. He has an average finish of 12.7 at this track and a driver rating of 92.2, which ranks 10th in the series.
