2012 NASCAR Odds – Good Sam 500 – Three Drivers Favored

TALLADEGA, AL (TheSpread) – The NASCAR Sprint Cup Series heads to the fast track of Talladega Superspeedway this Sunday for the Good Sam 500.
According to oddsmakers at Bovada.lv, three drivers are favored to win this event, as each have 10/1 odds. Those drivers are Dale Earnhardt Jr., Matt Kenseth, and Kyle Busch.
Earnhardt Jr. is seventh in the current point standings, 39 points out of first. He has one win and 10 top 5’s on the year. Earnhardt has won five times at Talladega and has an average finish of 14.8 at this track. His driver rating there is 90.0, which ranks second in the series.
Kenseth is 12th in the point standings. He is 72 points out of first place. Kenseth has one win and 10 top 5’s as well. Kenseth has never won at this track, but has four top 5’s and an average finish of 18.6. His driver rating is 86.7, which ranks seventh in the series.
Busch is not in the Chase for the Championship. He is 13th overall with one win and seven top 5’s this year. Busch has one win at Talladega and typically runs well in restrictor plate races.
