2013 NASCAR Budweiser Duel 2 Odds: Matt Kenseth Favored

DAYTONA BEACH, FL (TheSpread) – Before the Daytona 500 can take place, the field must be set in the Budweiser Duels. Here is a look at the odds to win the first duel race.
The Budweiser Duels are a pair of races featuring half of the Daytona 500 field in each race. Outside of the two pole sitters, the Daytona 500 field will be set according to the order of finish in these races. In the first duel, the order will lineup on the left on Sunday, and the second duel will lineup the right side.
According to oddsmakers at Bovada.lv, Matt Kenseth is the favorite in this second duel, as he has odds of +350. Other short odds to win are Kyle Busch (+400) and Jeff Gordon (+500).
Kenseth won one of the duel races last year. He is also a two-time Daytona 500 winner and the defending race winner. Kenseth has 24 career Sprint Cup victories to his credit. Kenseth will start from the fifth position on Thursday.
Busch has won the duel race one time in his career, back in 2009. Kyle Busch has never won the Daytona 500, but he has 24 career Sprint Cup victories in his career. Busch will start fourth for this race.
Jeff Gordon is a five-time duel race winner. His last victory came in 2009. Gordon is locked into the second spot for Sunday’s race, so he may not be looking to be too aggressive in this race. Gordon is a three-time Daytona 500 winner and he has 87 career victories in Sprint Cup history. Gordon will start first in this race.
