2013 NASCAR Ford EcoBoost 400 Picks & Predictions
By ATSSportsline.com

HOMESTED, FL (ATS Consultants) - After Matt Kenseth won the pole on Friday, which driver will take home the checkered flag today in the 2013 Ford EcoBoost 400 at 3:15PM ET?

According to oddsmakers from online sports book Bovada.lv, Kenseth is a 11/4 favorite to win today's race, which is the final running of the 2013 NASCAR Sprint Cup season. Kyle Busch, meanwhile, has the next-best odds at 6/1 and Kevin Harvick is 7/1 to win. Both Joey Logano and Brad Keselowski are 8/1, respectively, and Jimmie Johnson is 9/1.

Kenseth is currently 28 points behind Johnson for first place in the Sprint Cup standings and will likely need to win today in order to be crowned champion in 2013. Kenseth has seven wins and 11 top-5 finishes this year, and has one win and three top 5s at Homestead. His average finish there is 17.6, while his driver rating is 106.0, which ranks third in the series.

Below are our predictions for the 2013 Ford EcoBoost 400.

Denny Hamlin (10/1)

With a mark of 12.5, Hamlin ranks 8th in terms of best average finish among active drivers at Homestead with three or more starts. In 2009 he won at Homestead despite starting 38th, which was the furthest back any driver has come from to win at this track. Since that point he's finished 14th, ninth and 24th and has four top-10 finishes overall at this track.

Clint Bowyer (30/1)

With a 12.1 mark, Bowyer ranks seventh for best average finish among active drivers at Homestead (with three or more starts). In seven races here, he's finished in the top-5 twice and in the top-10 four times. His driver rating of 92.2 is better than Greg Biffle, Dale Earnhardt Jr. and Kyle Bush, who all have better odds to win today. He's a value at his current price and based off his previous performances here.

Live Long Shot:

Marcos Ambrose (100/1)

Ambrose gave a solid performance last year at Homestead, qualifying second and finishing 13th. He has an average finish of 15.9 on 1.5-mile tracks this season and a 17.1 average running position. While he's struggled at Homestead in previous years, he seemed to figure out the track last year and should run well again today.
