2014 NASCAR 5-hour ENERGY 500 Picks & Predictions
By ATSSportsline.com

KANSAS CITY, KS (ATS CONSULTANTS) – The 5-hour ENERGY 400 takes place from under the lights of Kansas Speedway tonight. Here are some picks for this race.

According to oddsmakers at BetDSI, Kevin Harvick is the favorite to win, as he has 5/1 odds. Jimmie Johnson has 11/2 odds while Jeff Gordon, Brad Keselowski and Joey Logano have each been given 8/1 odds.

Here are the drivers we like

Brad Keselowski 8/1

Keselowski is starting third tonight and he has a win at Kansas Speedway to go along with four top 10s. He is currently 11th in the point standings and could really use another win to get back near the top and secure his spot in the Chase. If he doesn’t wreck, Keselowski should be right near the front at the finish.

Matt Kenseth 10/1

Kenseth is starting 28th tonight, but he is second in the point standings. He is looking for his first win, but has been as consistent as anyone. Kenseth will find a way to contend for the race and his two previous victories at this track tell us that he knows how to make the key moves he needs to end up in victory lane.

Live Long Shot

Marcos Ambrose 200/1

Ambrose would be a shocker, but there is reason to believe that it could happen. Despite a lackluster career, Kansas has been one of his better tracks. He has placed in the top 15 four times and the top 10 twice at this track. He also has a pair of top 5s this year and has been consistently staying out of trouble on the track. While a little luck will be needed, Ambrose is going to put himself in position to be luck tonight and could lead to a massive payout.
