2014 NASCAR Bojangles’ Southern 500 Picks & Predictions
By ATSSportsline.com

DARLINGTON, SC (ATS CONSULTANTS) – The Bojangles’ Southern 500 will take place on Saturday night at 6:45PM ET. Here is a look at the drivers to consider for this NASCAR Sprint Cup race.

According to oddsmakers at BetDSI, Jimmies Johnson is the favorite to win the race, as he has 5/1 odds. Kyle Busch, Matt Kenseth and Brad Keselowski each have 7/1 odds to win.

Here are our predictions for this weekend’s race.

Kyle Busch 7/1

Busch is currently fifth in the standings and he has one win this season. He also has a win at Darlington with a driver rating of 106.2 at this track and an average finish of 14.4. He will start eighth on Saturday, and as always, if he avoids trouble, he should be in prime contention to win.

Kevin Harvick 8/1

Harvick won the pole for tonight’s race and will be in the lead to start things off. Harvick has one win this year, but has struggled otherwise. He should snap back into good racing tonight. Harvick hasn’t had the best numbers at Darlington, but his need for a strong showing will be what leads him to the front in this race.

Carl Edwards 20/1

Edwards qualified 21st for Saturday’s race. Edwards has been steady this year, as he has one win and four top 10s. Edwards has three top 5s and an average finish of 12.5 at Darlington. His driver rating at the track is 93.4 and he has the potential to find his second win of the season the way he has been driving. Edwards has been largely mistake free and will be up near the front late in the race.
