2014 NASCAR Budweiser Duel 1 Odds To Win: Dale Earnhardt Jr. Favored

DAYTONA BEACH, FL (TheSpread) – The 2014 Budweiser Duels will determine the race order for Sunday’s Daytona 500. Here is a look at the odds to win the opening duel.
The Budweiser Duels are two separate 60-lap races featuring half of the NASCAR field. The winner of the first duel will start in third on Sunday and the second-place driver in fifth, etc. According to oddsmakers at Bovada.lv, Dale Earnhardt Jr. is the favorite in this duel, as he has 5/1 odds. Kevin Harvick, Matt Kenseth and Kyle Busch have all been given 11/2 odds to win this race.
Earnhardt Jr. is a three-time winner of the duels. His last win came in 2008. Dale Jr. has an average finish of 13.8 at this track and his driver rating is 89.7, which ranks fourth.
Harvick won a duel race last year. Harvick has won twice at Daytona, and has average finish of 16.0 at the track. His driver rating there is 82.3, which ranks 12th in the series.
Kenseth was a duel winner in 2012. Kenseth is also a two-time winner at Daytona, with an average finish of 17.5. His driver rating at the track is 92.6, which ranks third.
Busch is a two-time duel winner. He claimed one of the wins last year. Busch has an average finish of 18.6 at Daytona and a driver rating of 96.9, which is best in the series.
