2014 NASCAR Budweiser Duel 2 Odds To Win: Hamlin & Johnson Favored

DAYTONA BEACH, FL (TheSpread) – The 2014 Budweiser Duels decided the racing order for Sunday’s big Daytona 500. Here is a look at the odds to win the second of the two races.
The Budweiser Duels are two separate 60-lap races featuring half of the NASCAR field. The winner of the second duel will start in fourth on Sunday and the second-place driver in sixth, etc. According to oddsmakers at Bovada.lv, both Denny Hamlin and Jimmie Johnson are favored to win this duel, as each has 5/1 odds. The other short odds to win are Brad Keselowski (11/2).
Johnson won a duel race back in 2010. Johnson is a three-time winner at Daytona and his average finish at the track is 17.5, while his driver rating there is 88.4, which is sixth in the series.
Hamlin won a duel race in 2008. He has not won a full NASCAR race at the track and has an average finish of 21.5 there. His driver rating at Daytona is 83.7, which ranks ninth in the series.
Keselowski has not picked up a duel victory. Keselowski has not had great success at Daytona, as he has never won at the track. His best finish in a race is fourth, which is his lone top 5.
