2014 NASCAR Kobalt 400 Picks & Predictions
By ATSSportsline.com

LAS VEGAS (ATS CONSULTANTS) – The Kobalt 400 will take place on Sunday. Here is a look at the drivers to consider for Sunday’s NASCAR race.

According to oddsmakers at Bovada.lv, Jimmie Johnson is favored to win this race, as he has 5/1 odds. The other short odds to win are Brad Keselowski (7/1) and four other drivers that have 8/1 odds.

Here are our predictions for this weekend’s race.

Jimmie Johnson 5/1

Johnson will start fifth on Sunday and his track record at Las Vegas is untouchable. Johnson has won four times at this rack to go along with another top 5 and three other top 10s. His average finish at Las Vegas is 9.5, while his driver rating is 112.3, which is best of any driver running today. Johnson is always in the hunt to win and today will be no different.

Denny Hamlin 18/1

Hamlin will have some ground to make up today, as he is starting 27th, but he has the ability to do so. He is seeking his first win at Las Vegas today, but his average finish at the track is 13.1. He has never failed to finish a race at Las Vegas and that is always a big key to winning, avoiding trouble.

Live Long Shot

Ricky Stenhouse Jr. 75/1

Stenhouse was strong in qualifying, as he will start sixth today. He doesn’t have a lot of experience at this track, as last year was his debut season. He placed 18th in the race last year, but is coming in having a top 10 and a top 20 to start the season. Stenhouse is a steady driver that finds himself staying out of trouble, which gives him a shot to pull off the upset at the end of the race. Today may be the day he gets his first Sprint Cup victory and earns you a big payday.
