By Drew Sharper

CONCORD, NC (TheSpread) – The 2014 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series takes a break from official races this week and holds the Sprint All-Star Race. Here is a look at the odds for this event.

This event is a series of segments totaling in 90 laps. There will be four 20-lap segments, with each winner getting a top starting spot for the final 10-lap sprint. The winner in the final 10-lap sprint is the winner of the event. You qualify for the race by being a previous race winner in the last year and this season along with the last 10 Sprint Cup champions. You can also qualify by winning the Sprint Showdown, an exhibition race on Friday, or by winning the fan vote.

According to oddsmakers at BetDSI, Jimmie Johnson and Kevin Harvick are the favorites, as each has 5/1 odds. The other short odds to win are Joey Logano, Kasey Kahne, Jeff Gordon and Brad Keselowski, who each have 8/1 odds.

Johnson has won this race the last two years and four times overall. Johnson is currently seventh in the point standings and searching for his first win of the season.

Harvick won this event back in 2007. Harvick is 15th in the point standings and one of two drivers with two wins this year.

Logano has never won this event. Logano is sixth in the point standings and joins Harvick as the other driver with two wins on the year.

Kahne won this event back in 2008. Kahne is 16th in the standings, he is looking for his first win and has just one top 5 this year.

Gordon is a three-time winner of this race, with the last win coming in 2011. Gordon is the points leader in NASCAR and coming off a win last weekend, his first of the year.

Keselowski has never won this race. Keselowski is 11th in the point standings, 68 points out of first. He has one win and four top 5s on the year.
