WATKINS GLEN, NY (ATSConsultants) – The Cheez-It 255 at The Glen is set to take place later today. Here are some drivers we like in this NASCAR race.
According to oddsmakers at Bovada.lv, AJ Allmendinger is the favorite to win this race, as he has 4/1 odds while Kevin Harvick has 5/1 odds and Kyle Busch has 6/1 odds. The Cheez-It 355 takes place from Watkins Glen International today at 2:18PM ET.
Kyle Busch has always been pretty strong on road courses and he is riding a real hot streak right now, having won four of the last six races. He will start from the eighth position in this race and won this very event in 2013. With Busch still outside the top 30 in the standings, he has to remain aggressive and we think that will lead to another win today.
Brad Keselowski has 8/1 odds today and he will start from the 11th position. He hasn’t won this race, but has finished second three different times. Keselowski has been running near the front as of late, finishing second in two of the last three races and he has won multiple races in three of the last four seasons. He has just one win this year and is hungry for a second. We think today could be the day for that to happen.
Kyle Larson is a bit of a dark horse with 20/1 odds. He will start in sixth position today, which is a big key on a road course. Larson performed well at this race last year, finishing fourth. With Larson well outside of the point standings to make the Chase, he needs a victory to make the postseason. Today may be his best chance given his strong showing at Watkins Glen a year ago. Look for Larson to be among the contenders late in the race.
