2015 NASCAR FedEx 400 Picks & Predictions
By ATSSportsline.com
DOVER, DE (ATS Consultants) – Can Kevin Harvick pick up his first victory at Dover International Speedway when he competes in today’s FedEx 400 at 1:15PM ET?
According to oddsmakers from online sports book GT Bets, Harvick is 4/1 to win today’s race in Dover while Jimmie Johnson is 9/2 and Brad Keselowski is 8/1. Kurt Busch is also 8/1 to win, while Denny Hamlin (today’s pole sitter), Joey Logano, Martin Truex Jr. and Matt Kenseth are all 10/1, respectively.
Here are three drivers to consider to win for today’s FexEx 400:
Kevin Harvick (4/1)
Harvick is due at Dover. In 28 career races he doesn’t have any wins but he has finished in the top 5 three times with an average finish of 15.18. He’s also raced well this season, picking up two wins in 12 races with eight top 5 finishes and an average finish of 6.4. He’s usually in the hunt and even though he’s favored, there’s plenty of value in those 4/1 odds.
Matt Kenseth (10/1)
In 30 career races at Dover International Speedway, Kenseth has two victories and a whopping 14 top 5 finishes. He also has a 13.3 average finish here, which is almost identical to his average finish on the season of 13.8. He does have a win under his belt in 2015 and could be ready to cash in another one on a track where he’s run very well.
Longshot Sleeper: Ryan Newman (100/1)
Newman is another driver that has run incredibly well at Dover, picking up three wins and six top 5 finishes in 26 career races. His average finish here is 13.42 and at 100/1 odds, he has tremendous value as a sleeper. In 12 races this season, Newman is yet to win but with four top 5 finishes and an average finish of 11.4, he could be due.
