After a 1 week vacation the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series returns to action at Indianapolis Motor Speedway for the 2008 Brickyard 400.
It should come as no surprise that as the Indianapolis Motor Speedway hosts it’s “other” race Sprint Cup Series Points leader Kyle Busch once again finds himself as the favorite to win.
Oddsmakers from several top online sportsbooks like Bodog and SBG opened betting on Kyle Busch to win the 2008 Allstate 400 at the Brickyard at 5/1. Within the first 24 hours of wagering the odds on Busch have already grown shorter. Currently, the best odds we found available on Kyle Busch were 4.5/1.
Although bettors and oddsmakers may be getting sick of seeing Kyle Busch’s name at the top of the wagering board – for this weekend at least his, favorite status isn’t without merit. Even though the young driver only has 3 starts at Indianapolis he still has the best finishing average of the top 12 drivers in the Sprint Cup points standings at a 7.0.
Rounding out the top 5 favorites for Sunday’s race are Jimmie Johnson (Chevrolet) at 6.5/1, Kasey Kahne (Dodge) and Tony Stewart (Toyota) at 7/1 and Carl Edwards (Ford) at 7.5/1.
The 2008 NASCAR Sprint Cup Allstate 400 at the Brickyard will be held on Sunday July 27, 2008 at Indianapolis Motor Speedway in Indianapolis, Indiana. Pre-race coverage begins at 3:00pm eastern on ESPN and ESPN HD.
The green flag will drop at approximately 4:15pm eastern, TV coverage will be provided by ESPN and ESPN HD. Radio coverage for the 2008 Allstate 400 at the Brickyard will be provided by the Motor Racing Network (MRN).
