The IndyCar Racing League wraps up its 2009 season on Saturday with the 2009 Firestone Indy 300 from Miami Speedway.

Scott Dixon holds a narrow five-point lead in the points standings over Dario Franchitti entering the final race and Dixon is the pre-race favorite to win the event.

Dixon has 11/4 odds to win according to odds makers from the online sports book SBGGLOBAL. Other short odds to win are Ryan Briscoe (7/2), Franchitti (4/1), and Helio Castroneves (9/2).

Dixon won this event last year and is coming off a win in the last IRL race, the Indy Japan 300. Dixon has five wins on the year and has finished in the top two in three of the last four events.

Briscoe sits third in the IRL standings, eight points behind Dixon. Briscoe had a string of seven-straight top five finishes end in the last race, where he finished 18th. Briscoe has won three times in 2009.

Franchitti has four wins on the year and has finished in the top six in his last seven races.

Castroneves sits in fourth in the standings, 167 points behind Dixon. Castroneves has finished outside the top five in his last four races, with just one top 10 finish.
