Bet the Cafes do Brazil Indy 300
The Favorite
Dario Franchitti is the favorite for this race as he has been given 7/2 odds to win according to online sports book Sportsbook.com. Other short odds to win are Ryan Briscoe (4/1), Helio Castroneves (4/1), and Scott Dixon (9/2). Franchitti won this event last year and he is currently second in the point standings, 12 behind leader Will Power. With this being his last chance to make up ground and win the season title, look for Franchitti to be aggressive in the race.
Past Winners
Dixon took the checkered flag in this event in 2008 and 2003 while Dan Wheldon won the title in 2005, 2006, and 2007. Wheldon enters this year’s race with 12/1 odds to win.
Season Standings
Will Power is up by 12 points in the standings. He has five wins on the year to go along with 11 top 5 finishes. Power has 11/2 odds to win this final race. Castroneves is third in the standings, but is 86 points out of first, leaving him with no chance to win the season title. Castroneves has three wins on the year, including the last two IRL races.
The Cafes do Brazil Indy 300 will take place Saturday, Sept. 4 from Kentucky Speedway at 9PM ET. For complete odds and track information on this year’s event, see below.
