Lots of good history to fall back on for this race since just a few drivers have been standouts here which helps narrow the field down to just a few bets.
Tony Kanaan 5/1
If you look at how Kanaan has run at Kansas it's hard to believe he isn't the favorite for the race,in six starts here he has only finished outside of the top five just once and has a very good average finish of 5.0.Kanaan is one of my favorite drivers to bet on in the IRL because he always takes care of his car and usually has it in a good spot at the end of a race with a chance to win.
Dan Wheldon 10/1
Wheldon moved to a new team this year and this race will be a great indicator if it was a good move for him or not.The IRL opened the year with two street course races which he is good at but not as good as he is on tracks like Kansas.Wheldon record here is very good with two wins and two second place finishes in six starts.I really think the oddsmakers have over looked him this week and see lots of value this week on Wheldon.
