LAS VEGAS, NV (ATS Consultants) - The third Sprint Cup race moves to Las Vegas Motor Speedway for the Kobalt Tools 400.
The track is 1.5 miles in length and has 20 degrees of banking in all four if its turns as well as nine degrees of banking on the front stretch and backstretch. Jimmie Johnson holds the record for most victories here with four and won three straight from 2005-07. Can Carl Edwards duplicate what he did last week in Phoenix?
Tony Stewart 8-1
Smoke has had six top-five finishes at Las Vegas. He won last year's race after finishing second there the year before. He led 290 of the 534 laps in the last two races at Las Vegas. According to oddsmakers from online sports book Bovada.lv, Stewart is 8/1 to win today’s race.
Clint Bowyer 15-1
Bowyer has finished eighth or better in three of the last four Las Vegas races. He has qualified in the top four in three of the last four races on 1.5 mile-tracks, which is the same size the Vegas Motor Speedway track.
Long Shot
Ricky Stenhouse 50-1
Stenhouse completed every lap in the first two races of the season. He's only one of 12 drivers to do so. Stenhouse Jr. enters the race ranked 9th in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series points standings with 60 points for the 2013 season. He finished 16th in the Subway Fresh Fit 500 at Phoenix International Raceway.
