NASCAR AAA 400 Picks & Predictions
By Anthony Rome

NASCAR rolls into Dover International Speedway on Sunday for stop number two in the Chase for the Championship with the AAA 400. Let’s make some picks and predictions for this race.

Bet the AAA 400

This will be the second race at Dover and we think this should play out much like the previous one did.

In the first race, Jimmie Johnson had the dominant car but was penalized for speeding while exiting the pits late, which took him out of contention and Kyle Busch cruised to a easy win.

A few drivers took a big step back in the standings last week, so look for Tony Stewart and Johnson to be a bit more aggressive as to not fall any farther back in the standings for the championship.

Kyle Busch 7/2

Kyle Busch has really come on the last few weeks, which is something he hasn't done in the past. But thanks to a new crew chief this year, he’s reversed his normal late season slump. Dover has been a very good track at times for Busch, but also a track that has caused him problems as well. In 11 starts at Dover, Busch has two wins and six top fives but at times he’s also run like he’s never seen the track before. With his recent form and new crew chief, we look for him to make a statement this week and come away with a win.

Greg Biffle 10/1

If you asked Greg Biffle which track was his favorite on the NASCAR circuit, he would say Dover with no hesitation. In his last nine races at Dover, Biffle has only finished outside of the top 11 three times with six top-5 finishes and an average finish of 6.0 in his last 10 outings. Just like Kyle Busch, Biffle has come alive the last few races and it should make him a contender on Sunday.

Live Longshot

Ryan Newman 16/1

Ryan Newman has shown a real fondness for Dover over the years and if you look at his track record, he swept both races here in the 2003 season. While his team has struggled at times, he did have a very good run last week. With a return to the track he has shown a likeness for and nothing to lose, he could grab his first win since earlier this year at Phoenix.
