Which drivers will battle for the win in the Auto Club 400? Here are some drivers that we think should be able to contend.
According to oddsmakers at Bovada.lv, Jimmie Johnson is favored to win this race, as he has 9/2 odds while Kevin Harvick and Kyle Busch each have 5/1 odds. The Auto Club 400 takes place today from Auto Club Speedway at 3:46PM ET.
Jimmie Johnson is a five-time winner at Fontana and his average finish at the track is 6.4. He also has the best driver rating of anyone in the field at 119.4. He starts 19th today, but should be able to move up the field quickly and once again contend for the win.
Matt Kenseth has 7/1 odds today and we like that as he is a three-time winner at this track with an average finish of 10.7 and a driver rating of 106.1. He will begin from the 20th position today and should be able to move up the field quickly like Johnson. Look for Kenseth to make a push for the win.
Clint Bowyer is a long shot with 66/1 odds but there are signs he could pay off. He has a driver rating of 90.5 at Auto Club Speedway and an average finish of 14.06. He starts near the back, but knows how to move up here. Given his long odds, the risk is low and the payout could be high.
