The NASCAR Sprint Cup Series resumes it season on Sunday, Aug. 9 with the Heluva Good! Sour Cream Dips at the Glen at Watkins Glen International in Watkins Glen, N.Y.
The second and last road course race for the Sprint Cup Series has Tony Stewart as the pre-race favorite to win the event.

Stewart is a 9/2 pre-race favorite to win at the Glen according to oddsmakers at the online sportsbook SPORTSBETTING. Other short odds to win are Jeff Gordon (6/1), Marcos Ambrose (6/1), Juan Pablo Montoya (7/1), and Kyle Busch (7/1).
Stewart is the current points leader in the Sprint Cup Series, leading Jimmie Johnson by 197 points. Stewart has had success on road courses, winning six races, including four at Watkins Glen. Stewart had a string of eight-straight top five finishes end last week with a 10th place finish in the Pennsylvania 500.
Jeff Gordon has also had his fair share of success on road courses, winning nine in his career. Like Stewart, Gordon has four career wins at Watkins Glen, with his last victory coming in 2001. Gordon has finished in the top 10 in seven of his last eight races.
Ambrose, who sits 18th in the Sprint Cup Standings, is considered a road course specialist. Earlier this year, Ambrose finished third in the road race at Infineon Raceway. Ambrose also finished third in last year’s race at Watkins Glen.
Montoya is known for his road course driving, but has established himself as a strong overall driver in the Sprint Cup series as of late. Sitting eighth in the standings, Montoya has finished no worse than 12th in 10 of his last 11 races. Montoya was the 2007 winner at Infineon Raceway and has finished sixth or better in his last three road course events.
Busch swept the road course races last year, winning both at Infineon Raceway and Watkins Glen in 2008. Busch sits 13th in the standings right now, just outside the cut to make the Chase for the Championship, so he needs a strong showing this weekend.
