2009 U.S. Cellular 250 from Iowa Speedway
The NASCAR Nationwide Series hits Iowa Speedway for the first time for the U.S. Cellular 250 on Saturday, Aug. 1 with points leader, Kyle Busch, entering the event are the favorite to win.
Busch opens as a 3/2 favorite to win Saturday’s race according to odds makes from the online sportsbook Sports Interaction. Other short odds for the race are Carl Edwards (7/2), Kevin Harvick (9/2), and Brad Keselowski (6/1).
Busch has finished first or second in the last eight Nationwide Series events, including three victories. Last week, Busch finished second in Indianapolis behind Carl Edwards. Busch has six victories on the season, putting him in the standings lead by 192 points over Edwards.
Edwards is coming off a win last week in the Kroger 200 where he began in 42nd place and raced his way to the front for the win. Edwards has two wins on the season and 10 top 3 finishes.
Harvick has one win on the Nationwide Series this year but competes in the series on a limited basis. In his last eight races, Harvick has not finished better than fifth.
Keselwoski has one win in 20 races in the 2009 season and has 10 top 5’s and 14 top 10’s during the year.
